Mohammad Gulzar arrested for killing his 2-year-old son in Patna

A shocking incident has occurred in Bihar’s Patna, where Mohammad Gulzar is accused of brutally murdering his 2-year-old son. The child’s body was found on 26 June 2024, and the mother has accused her husband of murder.

According to the police, the father confessed to killing his son and disposing of the body. The police have arrested him based on the mother’s statement.

The mother, Nazia Khatoon, lives in a rented room in the Rahmatganj area of Patna. Her husband, Mohammad Gulzar, works as a mason installing house tiles. Three days before the incident, they had taken their son Zeeshan to a primary health centre. During the visit, Gulzar left with Zeeshan, and despite Nazia’s efforts to find them, both were missing.

On the night of 25 June, Gulzar returned home and told Nazia that he had killed their son and suggested she should have another child. The following day, someone informed Nazia that a child’s body was found in the Dak Bungalow complex. She rushed there and confirmed it was her son, Zeeshan. The child’s body was sent for a post-mortem. Further investigations are underway.
