A Malappuram man received a 104-year sentence for raping his minor daughter for seven years. Judge S Resmi of Manjeri Fast-track Special POCSO Court (II) ruled on Friday that the 41-year-old criminal from Areekode must serve the rest of his life in jail. He has also been fined Rs one lakh.
The father was accused of raping his daughter (born in 2006) from the age of 10 to seventeen. The crime used to be committed at the house where he lived with his wife and two children.
The victim was sexually assaulted from the time she was 10 years old until March 2023. In addition, the accused had threatened to hurt her if she told anyone.

For sexually assaulting a child more than once or repeatedly and raping a woman under sixteen years old, the convict got 20 years each.
