Love Jihad In Surat: Girl kidnapped by Muslim friend and held captive in Maharashtra

A shocking case of Love Jihad has come into the fore in Surat, Gujarat. A 15-year-old girl from Gujarat’s Surat, who had gone to meet a Muslim youth she met through social media, was kidnapped by him and taken to Maharashtra. The family of victim reported this matter to police, after that an aggressive search operation was initiated and finally she has been successfully rescued.

The accused Muslim youth is working as a mechanic in Aurangabad in Maharashtra. The shocking incident has once again brought concerns over the threat of love jihad in Surat, where we have seen a surge in number of similar cases in the recent times.

In this case, the Muslim youth became a friend of the victim on social media. He trapped her into the Love Jihad and asked her to come to a hotel, from where he kidnapped her and took her to Aurangabad in Maharashtra. The minor girl was held captive for 15 days before she was rescued by the police.

As per the Police’s investigation, the minor girl came in touch with the Muslim youth over a year ago through Instagram. Over time, their friendship deepened, following which the two decided to meet in person.

Upon arriving in Surat, Musib checked into a hotel and arranged a meeting with the girl. Seizing the opportunity, he decided to kidnap her and took her to Aurangabad, where he held her captive for 15 days. However, the girl’s family promptly alerted the authorities, who swiftly intervened to rescue the minor and initiate legal proceedings against Musib.

The incident has once again shed light on the serious issue of Love Jihad in Surat. Love jihad is a term used by right-wing activists and outfits to allege a conspiracy by Muslim men to convert Hindu women to Islam through marriage.
