The Police murdered her husband inside the Police station, alleged Rajani Sau. Rajani Sau is the wife of the deceased Ashok Sau. Ashok Sau was a resident of Kolutola Lane and had a Pan shop.
Rajani Sau alleged that yesterday, the Police told Ashok to meet the Police official at Amherst Street Police Station. Within a few years, Ashok Sau went to the Police Station. But, in the afternoon, the Police informed his family that Ashok Sau had died. But, the Police did not say anything about the reason for his death.
Hearing the death of her husband, Rajani Sau reached the Amherst Street Police Station. From there, she did a Facebook Live. In the live streaming, she alleged that the Police murdered her husband inside the Police Station. The Police beat her husband to death.
As the news spread, tension gripped the area. Residents blocked busy College Street road, demanding immediate action against the accused police officials.
Subsequently, high-ranking Police Officials reached the spot and talked to the agitators. However, the Police did not clarify the reason behind the death.
