Hindu technician Sandeep Sharma brutally murdered in broad daylight by Atiq Ahmad, suspect’s home bulldozed; Kota, RJ

A horrific crime has shaken the peaceful town of Kanwas in Kota district, Rajasthan. A young Hindu man, Sandeep Sharma, a part-time computer technician, was brutally stabbed to death by a known criminal, Atiq Ahmad, around 2 PM on Sunday near a motorcycle showroom. According to showroom owner Narendra, Sandeep had visited the workshop to repair a printer, while Atiq was also present on other business. After finishing their tasks, both men exited the premises when a brief argument erupted, reportedly over a trivial matter—some witnesses said it began when Sandeep asked Atiq to shift his seat during CCTV work. As per Bhaskar, in a shocking escalation, Atiq drew a knife and stabbed Sandeep multiple times, leaving him gravely injured. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Sandeep was declared dead on arrival.

Islamist attacker with a criminal history

Local police sources revealed that Atiq Ahmad was a repeat offender with a deeply troubling history. He had previously fired shots at BJP leader Kaushal Soni and was recently out on bail. Just days before the murder, he had reportedly been involved in an armed robbery at a liquor store in the same region. Locals claim that Atiq aimed to terrorize Hindus in the area and was deliberately targeting them.

Public protests, shops torched

The murder sparked massive protests. Thousands of agitated villagers shut down local markets, burnt tires, and even set fire to Atiq’s roadside stall (tapri). The Sangod-Kanwas and Dara-Sangod roads were blocked as people staged a protest with Sandeep’s body, refusing to move until their demands were heard.

Villagers demand justice, refuse compensation

When Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar arrived at the scene to speak with the family, villagers openly stated they did not want compensation. Their demand was crystal clear—the accused should either be killed in an encounter or handed over to them. They declared that only swift, exemplary action would restore their trust in law and order.

“He wanted to spread fear. His house must be demolished, and he should be punished the way he punished our Sandeep,” said a grieving local, reflecting the anger and pain that gripped the community after the brutal murder. The residents were clear in their demand — they wanted justice not just through words, but action.

Responding swiftly, the district administration brought in bulldozers and razed the illegal residence of Atiq Ahmad in Bhat Mohalla by evening. Two of his unauthorized shops and another house located near Chaman Chauraha were also demolished. The move was seen as a strong signal that unlawful elements and those who spread terror will face direct consequences.

Following discussions with the victim’s family, Divisional Commissioner Rajendra Shekhawat announced several relief measures. He confirmed that all three illegal properties of Atiq Ahmad would be demolished as per the villagers’ demand. The administration also assured that Palanhaar scheme benefits would be provided to Sandeep’s children, his widow would receive a pension, and a pending SDM court case involving the family would be resolved with priority.

In the aftermath of the killing, tight security arrangements were made in and around Kanwas. Additional police forces, RAC personnel, civil defense units, and fire brigades were deployed to prevent further unrest. Kota Rural SP Sujit Shankar stated that multiple teams have been assigned to track down Atiq, with checkpoints and barricades established across the region. He assured that the accused will not escape and will face strict legal action.

This heinous crime marks the 15th reported murder of a Hindu in Bharat since May 1. With 116 Hindu lives lost since January 1, 2025 (including the Pahalgam incident), the trend is deeply disturbing and paints a grim picture of rising targeted violence. There is a clear pattern of radicalized elements attacking innocent Hindus, creating an atmosphere of fear, tension, and insecurity across many parts of the country.

“This is not just a crime; it’s a message. Radical Islamists are sending signals of dominance, and the silence from so-called secular voices is even more frightening,” said one activist from a local Hindu organization. His words echo the growing frustration among many who feel the threat is being systematically ignored or downplayed by political and media establishments.

Another protester at the scene questioned, “Where is the safety for Hindus in Bharat? Why are we being killed like animals while the system sleeps?” These voices reflect a deepening sense of helplessness and betrayal within the Hindu community, as they continue to bear the brunt of such brutal acts without seeing adequate systemic responses.

As Bharat continues to grapple with such targeted and ideologically driven violence, it is high time the government takes firm and lasting action to curb radicalism, deliver justice swiftly and transparently, and restore confidence in law enforcement.

Who are we, Hindus? We are the sons and daughters of Bharat, with every rightful claim to live, speak, and thrive in this sacred land. Who are these radical Islamists to snatch away innocent Hindu lives with impunity? This rising wave of religious intolerance from Islamist elements will never be tolerated. The so-called secularists, in their silence and appeasement, are not just betraying justice — they are actively damaging the very soul of Hindutva and maligning those who uphold it. Let it be known: Shariah, radical Islamic agendas, and Islamist domination have no place in Bharat. Islamism is not just a national threat — it is a slow poison, threatening to engulf the entire world while hiding behind false narratives. This is the time to rise, resist, and reclaim the truth.
