Dehradun, Uttarakhand: Islamist Mubina Yusuf befriended and blackmailed Hindu girl for religious conversion—an incident echoing “The Kerala Story”

In Dehradun, Uttarakhand, an incident of religious coercion surfaced at a local law college. Based on the reports from OpIndia, an Islamist girl, Mubina Yusuf, befriended a Hindu girl and, over time, began pressuring her to convert to Islam. The coercion involved persistent demands and claims that Islam is the only true religion, and the incident closely mirrors the plot of the movie “The Kerala Story.”

When the Hindu girl resisted these conversion attempts, the Islamist girl promised her a marriage to a wealthy Islamist man as an incentive to accept Islam. Despite the allure of this promise, the Hindu girl continued to refuse conversion.

The situation escalated when the Islamist girl blackmailed the Hindu girl with obscene videos. The Islamist girl used these videos to further press her point, criticizing Hindu practices and highlighting supposed flaws in Hindu worship and Hindu dharma, particularly the use of intoxicants. The police have since launched an investigation into these serious allegations.

According to the victim’s complaint, Mubina repeatedly coerced her to abandon her Hindu faith and convert to Islam, promising marriage to her Islamist friend if she complied. When the victim resisted, Mubina threatened to leak her private photos on social media and get her killed by a relative who is currently incarcerated in Gurugram, Haryana. The police have registered a case against Islamist Mubina Yusuf at the Rajpur police station and initiated an investigation into the matter.

The victim, who resides in the Rajpur Road area of Dehradun, detailed how Mubina gained her confidence by visiting her home and interacting with her family. In January 2023, Mubina took the victim to Jammu and Kashmir under the pretext of a short trip, but they stayed there for ten days. During this time, Mubina introduced the victim to her Muslim friend and allegedly demanded money from her. It is reported that Mubina secretly took private photos of the victim to use as leverage for her threats.

Further, the victim revealed that Mubina consistently extolled the virtues of Islam, claiming it to be the superior religion and insisting that the victim should convert and marry her Islamist friend to avoid any future problems. Mubina also asserted that she would delete the victim’s private photos if she agreed to the conversion and marriage. Additionally, Mubina threatened the victim with harm, citing her connections to a gangster in Gurgaon jail. The victim reported receiving threatening phone calls from individuals in Gurugram jail, adding to her distress. Mubina’s relentless pressure and threats led the victim to become depressed and isolated. Despite her attempts to avoid Mubina, the accused continued her coercive tactics whenever the victim attended college.

The victim’s mother, an advocate, eventually persuaded her to reveal the full extent of Mubina’s harassment. The victim then approached the police to file a complaint. The police are now investigating the case, examining the allegations of religious Islamic coercion, blackmail, and threats of violence by the Islamists.

“The Kerala Story” movie highlights the Islamic agenda behind coercive tactics, forced religious conversions, and manipulation of Hindu girls in colleges by radical Islamists. Similar incidents have occurred in Lucknow and Delhi, providing live examples of such coercive tactics and forced religious conversions. This alarming concern, which perpetuates Islamic coercion and blackmail, is expanding throughout Bharat, underscoring the need for Hindu girls and the Hindu community to be vigilant and aware of such instances.
