During Ramadan 2025, observed from March 1st to March 30th, a series of incidents unfolded, highlighting communal tensions and criminal activities across different regions. According to the reports, a concerning number of crimes and attacks were perpetrated by individuals from the Muslim community against Hindus. These incidents encompassed a range of offenses, including planned attacks on Hindu processions, fatalities, instances of love jihad, cow smuggling, and crimes against minors.

This article details specific cases, such as the assault and death of an 18-year-old Hindu youth in Saran, Bihar, and a mob attack on Hindu properties in Nagpur, Maharashtra, following rumors of Quran desecration. Instances of abduction and forced conversion were also reported, along with attacks on Hindu temples and individuals celebrating Holi. These occurrences underscore the complex interplay between religious observances and public safety, raising questions about the factors contributing to such incidents during the supposedly ‘holy month’.

1. Saran, Bihar (March 28, 2025)

In a minor dispute in Salkhua village of Amanaur, a Hindu youth named Dakesh Kumar (18) was beaten to death by Shakil Shah, Shakil Shah, and Mahmood Alam. Amanaur police registered a case against the named accused based on the statement of the deceased’s relative, Rajan Kumar.

2. Rangpur, Bangladesh (March 28, 2025)

A Muslim mob attacked a Hindu youth’s house in Sakhipur Upazila for writing an “objectionable post against Islam” on Facebook. The mob vandalized the house and set fire to a cowshed. The attack was reportedly pre-planned after the evening prayers.

3. Malda, West Bengal (March 26, 2025)

In front of Manohari, prior to Ram Navami, rioters attacked Hindu shops and vehicles parked along the roadside, setting them on fire. Videos circulating on social media showed the rioters vandalizing properties while carrying Islamic flags. Local Hindus claimed the violence erupted after a dispute over bursting crackers in front of a mosque. Police used force to control the situation.

4. Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh (March 25, 2025)

In Bahadurpur village, a Muslim mob assaulted Hindus performing kirtan at a temple after a pet dog entered a mosque. The assault involved sticks and caused serious injuries to two Hindus. Moradabad police intervened and arrested Aslam, Ishan, Shadaab, and Shaqib.

5. Hanamkonda, Telangana (March 23, 2025)

Nine Muslim youths, including Mohd Azam, Shaik Asif, and Mohd Fayaz, kidnapped and assaulted a Hindu youth, Sai Kiran, for speaking to a Muslim girl about job-related matters. They confined him and issued threats. Hanamkonda police registered a case against the accused.

6. Najafgarh, Delhi (March 21, 2025)

In Muslim-dominated JJ Colony, a 65-year-old Hindu man, Dadheshyam, was beaten to death by Irshad following a minor dispute between children. The deceased’s wife, Kamla Devi, stated that Dadheshyam tried to intervene in the fight but was fatally attacked.

7. Nagpur, Maharashtra (March 17, 2024)

A mob of over 1000 Muslim extremists attacked Hindus and engaged in stone-pelting in the Mahal area of Nagpur. The violence was triggered by rumors of Quran desecration. The mob set fire to over 40 vehicles and targeted Hindu properties. Nagpur police registered a case of treason and rioting against the main accused, Isham Imam, and several others.

8. Dhaka, Bangladesh (March 16, 2025)

Dr. Ahinda Dutta, a Hindu professor at a medical university in Dhaka, was forcibly confined to her office by BNP student organizations. She was threatened with arrest when she protested. Dr. Dutta is the daughter of a former Vice-Chancellor and Awami League MP, Paragopal Dutta.

9. Mumbai, Maharashtra (March 16, 2025)

Omprakash Sharma (40) was attacked by Muslim youth Hamid Ansari (26) and his wife for objecting to their reckless driving near Samata Co-operative Housing Society in Vile Parle (East). Sharma died on March 19, 2025, due to the injuries sustained. Vakola police arrested Hamid Ansari and his wife on March 20, 2025.

10. Indore, Madhya Pradesh (March 9, 2025)

A Muslim mob attacked Hindus celebrating the victory of Bharatiya cricket team, pelting stones and setting fire to several shops and vehicles. The mob targeted Hindus and engaged in rioting and arson in several areas of Indore. Indore police arrested over a dozen accused and charged Sohail, Hipra Shah, Shahid Qureshi, Ejaz Hipra, and Mohd.

11. Gazipur, Delhi (March 9, 2025)

Two Muslim youths, Naseem and Tariq, shot and killed 32-year-old Hindu youth, Rohit Raj, near the Ghazipur Sabzi Mandi over a business rivalry. Ghazipur police arrested both accused, Naseem and Tariq.

12. Radadanga, Uttar Pradesh (March 3, 2025)

A Hindu youth, identified as a BJP worker from Devanagar, was attacked with a sharp weapon by a Muslim youth, Doaib, resulting in a deep wound to the victim’s neck. Devanagar police registered a case against the accused, Doaib, under sections 118(1), 115(2), 109, and 351(3).

13. Dwarka, Gujarat (March 2, 2025)

A Hindu family was attacked by a group of Muslim youths—Maksud, Rausa, Moin, and others—for bursting crackers in the compound of Khambhalia near the Janmashtami fair. Several Hindus, including a minor girl, were seriously injured. Khambhalia police registered a case against all the rioters and arrested them.

14. Hapur, Uttar Pradesh (March 24, 2025)

A minor Hindu girl was kidnapped and gang-raped in Dhaulana. The Muslim youth Nadeem allegedly abducted the girl, who had gone to a shop to buy goods. He allegedly sedated her and, along with his accomplices, repeatedly raped her before abandoning her. Dhaulana police arrested Nadeem and registered a case against him and another Muslim under various sections of the law.

15. Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh (March 5, 2025)

A Muslim youth, Qurban (23), kidnapped and raped a Hindu girl. Based on the complaint filed by the victim’s father, Puredarpur police arrested the accused, Qurban (23), on March 26, 2025.

16. Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh (March 24, 2025)

In a village under the Niwadi police station in Modinagar, Muslim youths Israil and Ashad lured a 17-year-old Hindu girl into a love trap through Instagram. On March 24, 2025, they called her to meet, gagged her, and kidnapped her on a bike to a field where they raped her. When she resisted, the accused severely beat her.

17. Barisal, Bangladesh (March 22, 2025)

Three Muslim youths—Rafiqul Islam, Mohammad Suman, and Mohammad Sadheen—molested a Hindu girl in a shop in Bhola. Police arrested Rafiqul Islam and presented him in court, while the other two accused, Mohammad Suman and Mohammad Sadheen, remained at large.

18. Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh (March 18, 2025)

The body of a 19-year-old Hindu girl was found hanging in her house, with blood flowing from her severed wrist. The deceased’s brother reported that a Muslim youth, Mubarak Khan, had been harassing his sister for several days.

19. Ajmer, Rajasthan (March 16, 2025)

Two Muslim youths, Rehan Khan and Imran Ali, kidnapped a 14-year-old Hindu student studying in class 8 on March 16, 2025, and repeatedly raped her in different places for two days.

20. Gopalganj, Bihar (March 14, 2025)

Seven Muslim youths—Syed Ali, Rabudan, Sahabuddin, Mohammad Saddam Ali, Hismat, Jumadin, and another—gang-raped an 80-year-old elderly Hindu woman from the Dalit community on March 14, 2025. The perpetrators stuffed cloth into her mouth, brutally gang-raped her, tried to gouge out her eyes, beat her, and left her for dead.

21. Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh (March 11, 2025)

A 20-year-old Hindu nurse, Himanshi, working in a hospital, was pressured to convert her religion and marry. When she refused, Muslim youth Jeeshan, along with his accomplice Riyaz, allegedly killed her on March 11, 2025, by throwing her off the hospital roof.

22. Sahibganj, Jharkhand (March 16, 2025)

Sahibganj police arrested a person named Malik Ansari, from Boria, for allegedly running a sex trafficking business. A Pahadi woman and a minor girl who had been missing since March 16, 2025, were recovered from Ansari’s house.

23. Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh (March 27, 2025)

A 15-year-old Hindu boy was forced to convert his religion by Muslim youths Imran and Nud-al. They allegedly circumcised the boy against his will, forced him to recite the Kalima, made him eat meat, and then forcibly had him circumcised.

24. Belgaum, Karnataka (March 19, 2025)

A Muslim youth, Yakub, threw stones at the Lakshmi Temple in Ujwal Nagar and vandalized it.

25. South 24 Parganas, West Bengal (March 7, 2025)

A Muslim youth named Sheikh Imdu broke the idol of Ma Manshala and set fire to a temple.

26. Birbhum, West Bengal (March 15, 2025)

A Muslim mob attacked Hindus celebrating Holi in Anaipur village. The Muslim mob allegedly targeted Hindus for chanting “Jai Shri Ram.”

Need for Hindus to awaken to the challenge at hand

For any Hindu committed to the protection, preservation, and propagation of our sacred Dharma, the incidents documented during Ramadan 2025 are a stark reminder of the challenges we face. This compilation exposes a disturbing pattern of violence, intimidation, and religious persecution against Hindus. It is our duty to recognize these threats, stand united, and work tirelessly to safeguard our community, culture, and traditions. We must ensure that Hindu voices are heard, that justice is served for the victims, and that future generations can practice their faith without fear. The protection of Hindu Dharma is not merely a religious obligation but a national imperative, vital for the peace, harmony, and integrity of Bharat. We must, therefore, remain vigilant, strengthen our resolve, and dedicate ourselves to upholding the eternal values of Sanatan Dharma.
