“The Assam police have yet again cracked down on the infiltration of Bangladeshis into the Indian territory. They intercepted 16 illegal immigrants and sent them back to Bangladesh.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the development on social media. The accused included seven men, four women, and five juveniles.
The police detained them in Jordanga village after concerns were raised about their suspicious movement. They had travelled to Guwahati by train from Bengaluru and tracked them in the South Salmara-Mankachar district…….”
