Assam: Islamists raped two minor Hindu girls, bulldozer in action

The Assam Government has taken strong against the rapists of the Dudhnoi gang-rape case. The administration demolished the house of one of the accused yesterday.

On the 3rd of May this year, three Islamists allegedly dragged and gang-raped two minor Hindu girls in Dudhnoi of Goalpara district of Assam. The girls belong to the Janajatia community.

After the incident, members of the Village Defence Party(VDP) went to the home of one of the accused, Dhan Talukdar. But, Islamist Dhan Talukdar and his family attacked them. A Hindu youth named Hiranmay Khaklari was seriously injured. Later, he died.

The incident shocked the whole of Assam. In many parts of the Goalpara district, people started agitation against the heinous crime. The Police soon came into action and arrested three Islamists, Dhan Talukdar, Bahar Ali and Rahman Ali. The Police also arrested the main accused Dhan Talukdar’s family members.

Then, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma had promised strong action against the accused.

Yesterday, on the 30th of June, the administration reached the Dudhnoi area with bulldozers. In presence of the administration and police force, the house of the main accused Dhan Talukdar’s illegal house was demolished.

  1. But Alas! Such strong action adopted by the Assam Govt. will never be exercised by TMC led WB Govt. Here Hindu hawkers at Gariahat & other places are being evicted while Muslim hawkers in Esplanade, & other Muslim dominated areas are spared.
