“21 Bangladeshi intruders returning from Gujarat were arrested in two separate operations by Assam police in Cachar district. The arrested Bangladeshi who had been working in Surat for the last 6 years were arrested in the Katigorah area of Cachar district in southern Assam on 23rd June.
They were returning to Bangladesh via the international border with the help of local handlers when they were intercepted and later arrested by police. The Bangladeshi intruders were first held by locals for their suspicious movements and later handed over to police.
In the first incident, locals intercepted two Auto Rickshaw in the Hilara locality in the Cachar district near the International border, where 9 Bangladeshi were caught. They reached there via train and were moving to a transit location…….”
