Adnan brutally slits the throat of lover Asma for cheating: Bulandshahr, UP

In a horrific incident reported from Uttar Pradesh’s (UP) Bulandshahr, a youth named Ballu alias Adnan killed his married lover woman by slitting her throat. The police arrested Adnan, who confessed to the crime of murder during police interrogation.

On Tuesday (11 June 2024) evening, local people saw the blood-soaked body of a woman lying in the graveyard located in Mohalla Khirkhani of Khurja Nagar Kotwali area. The locals subsequently informed the police about it. The police took the body into custody, sent it for postmortem, and started further investigation. The woman, identified as Asma (30), was murdered by slitting her throat. After the murder, the accused, Adnan, gave a spine-chilling statement admitting his crime.

When the police investigated the matter, the name of Kalindi Kunj resident Adnan came to light. After the police arrested Adnan and interrogated him thoroughly, he confessed to the murder. Adnan said that he was having an affair with Asma for many years. He further stated that Asma had a mobile that wasn’t functioning properly. A few days ago, he had got her a new mobile worth ten thousand rupees. When he called, Asma’s number was busy. This made him suspect that Asma was also talking to some other man. The two got into a fight regarding this.

Both of them regularly met in the graveyard located in Khirkhani. On Tuesday, Asma also came to the graveyard to meet Adnan. He found other youths’ phone numbers and call details in Asma’s phone. In a fit of anger, he killed Asma by stabbing her neck with a knife. SP Rural Rohit Mishra says that the accused had come up with a plan to murder on the pretext of a meeting.

He had taken a knife with him, called Asma, and asked her to meet him and took her to a deserted place in the graveyard where no one could see them. He killed her while she was watching the mobile. After this, he ran away from there with the mobile. A video of Adnan is also going viral on social media, in which Adnan is saying that the punishment for a person who cheats in love is death (Mohabbat mein dhoka de diya, aur Mohabbat mein dhoke ki ek hi saza – maut).

Adnan said, “I have become Ballu Balram after watching the movie Khalnayak. I have no qualms in killing those who betray in love and friendship. My girlfriend betrayed me, I killed her, and if anyone troubles my family, I will blow them up with a bomb.” According to Punjab Kesari, the deceased was already married but entered into an affair with Adnan after leaving her first husband. She was living with Adnan in Kalindri Kunj of Khurja for the last 3 years. At present, the accused has been taken into custody by the police.

CO Varun Kumar said, ‘The body of a woman was found in a graveyard near Mohalla Khirkhani of Thana Khurja Nagar. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot. Prima facie, the facts that have come to light are that Asma has a lover, Adnan, who has murdered the woman. He has been taken into custody and is being questioned by the police. The reasons for the murder are also being investigated in depth. The police will take further legal action.’
