“Bangladesh National Hindu Mohajot organised a human chain and protest rally in front of the National Press Club in Dhaka today on June 27 organised a huge protest against the illegal destruction, vandalism and looting of Sri Sri Durga Temple and murtis in Dhaka’s Khilkhet and the attack on Paresh Chandra Shil and Vishnupada Shil on the pretext of so-called religious insult.
The Hindu protesters said that after the demands of the fundamentalist Islamist, the police and army in Khilkhet, Dhaka, destroyed the Sri Sri Durga temple and murtsi with bulldozers, vandalised all furniture and murtis of the temple and looted all the properties and belongings of the sacred temple and took them them away in trucks.
Moreover, In the Lalmonirhat area, Paresh Chandra Shil and Vishnupada Shil were attacked and arrested in a false case on the pretext of so-called insult to religion…….”
