“All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) MLA Aminul Islam has been arrested by Nagaon Police following a series of First Information Reports (FIRs) lodged across Assam over his controversial remarks regarding the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

Islam, the legislator from Dhing constituency, stirred controversy after publicly alleging that the Pahalgam attack was part of a larger conspiracy orchestrated by the central government. He further accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah of engineering such incidents for political gain.

Speaking in a panchayat election rally, Islam questioned the narrative surrounding the attack, claiming there was no evidence that terrorists were selectively targeting individuals based on religion…….”
