A heinous crime against a Hindu girl has been reported from the Sribhumi district of Assam where Islamists sexually assaulted a Hindu girl in a bus. After the crime, the Islamists allegedly threw the woman on the road. Later, locals recovered the woman and admitted her in a hospital.
Meanwhile, the Police launched an investigation and arrested two accused Islamists while another one is still absconding. The arrested persons have been identified as Jasim Uddin Laskar and Abu Salam.
As per the received information, the Hindu girl got into the bus from Badarpur. After some time, other passengers got off the bus and the girl was alone. Then, Jasim Uddin Laskar, Abu Salam and another Islamist sexually assaulted the girl. Then, they threw the girl on the road. Locals recovered the girl and admitted her in a hospital. Her condition is critical now.
However, as the news of the incident spread, Hindu organisations started protests. Members of the ‘Hindu Rakshi Dal’ started protesting previous night. This morning also, hundreds of members of the organisation staged a protest. The police with high ranking officials reached the spot and talked to the protesters. The Police promised to identify and arrest the perpetrators. Within few hours, the police arrested two accused.
“After analysing numerous numbers of CCTV footages of the roadside shops, we identified and detained five buses. Among them, through interrogation, we were able to arrest two persons. Another one is also identified, but he is still absconding”, the police sources said.
