The persecution of the Hindu minorities continues in Bangladesh. Almost everyday, Hindu minorities are beaten and humiliated by the Islamic radicals. A fresh case has been reported from the Gopalganj district of Bangladesh.
Biswajit Mondal works as a Headmaster in Orakandi Middle High School. The school is situated in Orakandi village under the Kashiyani Upazila of the Gopalganj district.
On the 2nd of July, during school hours, Islamists Aminur Rahman Sikdar, Khalil Mollla and others suddenly came to the school. They entered the Headmaster’s room. They beat up and humiliated the headmaster Biswajit Mondal in front of the students.
Seeing this, the students got angry. The students came out of their class and started agitation. Before the situation became violent, the Islamists left the school premises. Meanwhile, agitating students demanded the arrest of the accused Islamists.
However, the teacher filed a complaint to the Upazila Officer of the Education Department. The Officer promised to take necessary action after the primary investigation.
Locals said that Aminur Rahman Sikdar is a member of the school’s management committee. He brought others and humiliated the headmaster.
As of now, no action has been taken against the perpetrators.
