A 40-year-old man was arrested along with his associates for sexually abusing a minor boy in Kerala. The boy was abused when he was playing on the beach with his friends and the assaulter tried to drown the friends when they tried to stop him. He was found growing cannabis at his house.
Panniangara police arrested Nainook(40), Nishad Ali(35), Sajar(36), and Jasim(35) after they were caught sexually abusing and attacking minor children. The 16-year-old boy was playing on Kozhikode beach along with his friends when Nainook sexually assaulted him on June 21. When other boys tried to stop him Nainook and his associates attacked them and tried to drown them in the sea. As people started noticing the commotion the gang escaped.
When Panniyankara police went to nab the accused they were also attacked and the gang opened a gas cylinder creating an atmosphere of terror to escape arrest. Nainook’s accomplices also attacked the cops and vandalised their jeep. Police said that Nainook led a gang of criminals in the locality.
Police were in search of him in another case of drug peddling. Both teams reached his house at the same time and tackled the gang together. They found cannabis plants being grown at the house and booked the gang under relevant sections for drug peddling while Nainook and Nishad Ali were booked under the POCSO Act for sexually assaulting the boy. All four have been remanded to judicial custody
