The Global Fallout of US Presidential Elections

The World is waiting  with  bated breath to see who wins the US presidential  race as it will have widespread  ramifications  and global fall out.

A war torn and bleeding middle east with over one lakh dead and a never ending Russian Ukraine conflict are the two most challenging  assignments awaiting the next President and both presidential  candidates  are at loggerheads on most  including Taiwan ,China & the immigration policy.

Thus if former President Trump were to occupy  the oval office he is likely  to cozy up to Russia  & Putin and tighten the screws on NATO vis-a-vis it’s military and logistical support to Ukraine.

This would weaken Zelensky considerably and hasten Ukraine’s defeat.  Kamala is most likely to toe Biden’s  line of supporting Ukraine militarily and otherwise.

Trump has also promised  imposing 60% tarrif barriers on China and the repurcussions on the Chinese  economy which is already under the pump can well be imagined  given the 560 billion dollars Chinese exports to the US.

This is Trump’s way of ramping up the manufacturing  sector across US and make it more  competitive apart from reducing  the massive trade deficit with China which is in excess of 350 billion dollars.

All political  and campaign  merchandise on sale by both the Republicans and the Democrats  running  into millions of dollars carries the Chinese  tag because of it’s cheap pricing as compared  to the American  companies.

Thus the Chinese  caps bearing  Trump and Harris ‘s name are available for 2 dollars as compared  to the home made ones which are priced over 200 dollars.

As part of his foreign  policy of less American  boots on outside  lands Trump  could be less inclined to help Taiwan  militarily  contrary to what Biden is doing at present to keep China at bay.

Harris on the other hand if elected is likely to continue in Biden’s footsteps on most foreign policy issues with continued support to Ukraine, Taiwan & Israel.
