Pakistani Hindu laborer thrashed by constable for not paying Rs. 50 bribe

In Tando Allahyar, Sindh, a Pakistani Hindu laborer named Karo Kachhi was assaulted by a police official for not paying a bribe of 50 Pakistani rupees, leaving him bloodied. According to reports, Karo Kachhi was stopped by police official Anwar Mallah at a checkpoint in Tando Allahyar. When Karo failed to pay the bribe demanded by Mallah, he was beaten with sticks repeatedly, hitting him on the head and other parts of the body.

The incident has been condemned by human rights activists and local leaders, who have called for an immediate investigation and action against the guilty police official. Many are also questioning the attitude of the police towards poor Hindus, who are often seen as easy targets for extortion and violence.

Locals says that whenever the policemen come to know that a person is Hindu, their attitude changes. They don’t consider Hindus as equal human beings.

The video, which went viral on social media, sparked outrage among the public, with many calling for action to be taken against the police official. The incident has also been widely reported in the media, leading to pressure on the police department to take action against the accused.

In response to the growing public outrage, SSP Tando Allahyar Sayed Saleem Shah has suspended Anwar Mallah and ordered an inquiry into the incident. The SSP has also promised to take strict action against any police officials found guilty of harassing or extorting the public.

The suspension of the accused police official has been welcomed by human rights activists and the Hindu community in Pakistan, who have been demanding justice for Karo Kachhi and an end to the discrimination and violence faced by minorities in the country.

The suspension of Anwar Mallah is a small but significant step towards ensuring justice for Karo Kachhi and other victims of police brutality in Pakistan. It is now up to the authorities to ensure that a thorough investigation is conducted and that the guilty are punished in accordance with the law. Only then can Pakistan truly become a country where all its citizens are treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their background or beliefs.

This incident is not the first of its kind in Sindh, where Hindus are routinely targeted by the police and other authorities. Many poor Hindus are forced to pay bribes to officials or face harassment and violence.
