Hindu youth helping individuals upskill and reconnect: New Zealand

After receiving an overwhelming response to the Step Up, Stand Out skill development webinar series focusing on CV Writing, Hindu Youth New Zealand are delighted to announce the next online workshop in the series – Networking.

Step Up, Stand Out was a skill development webinar series that Hindu Youth New Zealand launched in 2020 during a previous lockdown. Its purpose was to help upskill New Zealand’s current and future workforce and help prepare individuals to stand out amongst the crowd during the employment recruitment process.

“Good communication skills are critical for success be it in the professional or public space and is essential in building strong networks,” said Roshni Surti, Programs Coordinator, Hindu Youth New Zealand. “The aim of this webinar is to provide an opportunity for participants to understand the importance of building networks and the numerous means to develop this network for your professional career.”

This will be a unique webinar which will provide participants an opportunity to ask questions directly to the industry experts who will give key insights in this area.

The networking webinar will be conducted by Nitika Sharma, a Director at KPMG New Zealand. Over her career, Nitika has held roles in the government and private sectors where networks are critical to personal, business and research success. Drawing from her local and international experience she will share some insights on the importance of networks and how to go about building one. Being an immigrant herself, Nitika has experienced and understands the hurdles of trying to start fresh in a new country.

“With places in New Zealand split between Alert Level 2 and 3, many have been trying to return to their work and a sense of normalcy. In addition to reconnecting with their communities, many are looking to develop their networks and develop opportunities in their professional careers. Hindu Youth New Zealand are providing online workshops and webinars to support people who are looking to upskill during this challenging period” said Murali Krishna Magesan, President, Hindu Youth New Zealand.

The online webinar will be held on Monday, 18th  October 2021 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Use the link to join online: https://tinyurl.com/hynznetwork2021. This is a free webinar brought to you by Hindu Youth New Zealand.
