Now, school principal Supinder Kour & teacher Deepak Chand shot dead by terrorists: Srinagar

The spate of murders of Hindus, other Dharmiks and munafiq Muslims continues unabated in Kashmir. After 3 civilians were murdered on Tuesday, news has just come in of another dastardly attack by Islamic terrorists.

Principal Supinder Kour & teacher Deepak Chand were shot dead at point blank range at the Government Boys School, Sangam in Srinagar today. Both were brought dead to hospital. Supinder Kour was a resident of Alochi Bagh area of the city, and Deepak Chand was a resident of Jammu.

There are unconfirmed reports that the terrorists stormed into the school, spared the Muslim teachers and specifically targeted the two victims, one Hindu and one Sikh. Both families were shattered and disconsolate – Chand leaves behind a wife and young daughter.

Despite the spate of targeted killings of Hindus in Jammu and Kashmir, the likes of Irfa Jan, spokerperson for ex-CM Farooq Abdullah’s National Conference and a St. Stephens alumnus, chose to pin the blame on Hindus for ‘threatening demographic change’

On Tuesday, a noted Hindu pharmacist was among three people killed by terrorists in Srinagar. Makhan Lal Bindroo, owner of Bindroo Medicate, was shot at his shop in Iqbal Park. “He received four bullets and was declared brought dead at SMHS hospital,” officials said. A famous chemist in the area, Bindroo had been operating his pharmacy in Srinagar for many decades and was also well known for his philanthropic works. He refused to leave the valley even at the peak of the Kashmir jihad in 1990 when lakhs of Hindus were forced to flee due to targeted murders, gang-rapes and threats.

Within an hour of Bindroo’s shooting, terrorists shot dead Virendra Paswan, a Bihari roadside vendor selling Golgappas and Bhelpuri on the road. Then terrorists also shot dead Mohammad Shafi Lone in Bandipora district of north Kashmir.

With the latest murders, over a dozen Hindus have been killed in Kashmir over the last one year or so, leaving the minority community feeling helpless and on edge.

Almost all Indian media outlets continue to soft-peddle these heinous crimes by labeling the terrorists as ‘militants’, ‘unknown gunmen’ etc. This tweet sums up the state of the country, where murders of Hindus and Dharmiks only matter if some ‘secular’ political mileage can be derived.

Activists of the Shiv Sena, Dogra Front, Rashtriya Bajrang Dal and KP Sabha held protests and took out rallies in Jammu in protest against the killings. They raised anti-Pakistan slogans and burnt a flag of Pakistan.

“The government must deal with terrorists, their supporters within Kashmir with an iron hand before dealing with Pakistan. Justice should be delivered,” Shiv Sena leader Ashok Gupta said. These terror attacks are aimed at derailing the plan of the government to resettle Kashmiri Pandits back in the Kashmir Valley, he said.

Correction

22:30, 7 Oct: An earlier version incorrectly gave the name of deceased principal Supinder Kour as Satinder Kaur. The error is regretted.
