350 German security personnel zeroed in on 5 males who were planning an Islamic State-inspired jihadi massacre. While police raided their homes, none were arrested since most of them are minors so judges only granted investigators search warrants. They range in the 16-22 age group.
The raids happened in the German city of Bonn on October 28. The group included 2 Germans, 2 holding dual Russian-German passports and a Turkish national.
Duesseldorf public prosecutor said that inspiration for violent jihad came from Islamic State propaganda materials. Plans were drawn to wage jihad against non-Muslims.
Questions remain as to where did the group learn about Islam, and the mosques that they were involved with. Since they are minors, local judges gave investigative officers only search warrants even though they are suspected of terrorist attacks. Could using minors be the latest loophole that Islamists might frequently use in the future?
As for Germany, a country that has bent over to accommodate Muslim refugees from all over the world, jihadi terror attacks are on the rise. Could the fear of being labeled Islamophobic be holding back the authorities?
With no arrests even under such dire circumstances, have authorities provided a safe chance for the suspected terrorists to run, destroy evidence and warn their co-conspirators. On the other hand, we see ‘democratic’ Islamic nations like Bangladesh arrest a minor Hindu girl on dubious blasphemy charges and repeatedly deny her bail.
With such a vast asymmetry between political systems in Muslim versus non-Muslim nations, it is no surprise that Islamism is growing rapidly by abusing the very freedoms of the host nations where Muslims are a minority.
