Religious conversion case exposed in Raebareli: Two Christian missionaries arrested, accused of luring children and inciting against Sanatan Dharma; NHRC seeks report from administration

A case of religious conversion has come to light in the Mill Area police station area of ​​Raebareli. The police have arrested two people in this case. A prayer place was built by people associated with Christian missionaries in Sandi Nagin area.

According to local sources, about 50-60 children were called to this place daily. It is alleged that the children were instigated against Sanatan Dharma and Christianity was said to be superior.

When Hindu organizations came to know about the matter, shocking scenes came to light during a raid conducted with the police. Here, small Hindu children are being taught the miracles of Christianity in separate classrooms while filling them with hatred towards Sanatan Dharma. The police have taken Vijay Singh and a woman named Sandhya, who were involved in religious conversion, into custody and are interrogating them.

The police raided the place on the information provided by Hindu organizations. Investigation revealed that children were being taught about Christianity in different rooms built in the prayer place. According to police officials, interrogation of both the accused is going on. Seeing the seriousness of the case, the police has intensified the action. The local administration is keeping a close watch on such activities.

Based on the complaint, the police registered a case against Vijay Singh (Christian pastor), son of Rajkumar Singh, resident of village Sandi Nagin, police station Mill Area, Raebareli, Sandhya, daughter of unknown, resident of Kewai, police station Fursatganj, district Amethi and Sushma, daughter of Ramfer, resident of village Dighia, police station Mill Area, Raebareli.

NHRC seeks report from district administration

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken a tough stand on the issue of predatory conversion of school children to Christianity in Rae Bareli. The Commission has sought a report from the District Officer and Superintendent of Police within 10 days.

Agni Samaj Sangathan had filed a complaint with NHRC. In the complaint, it was stated that people associated with Christian missionary organizations are motivating about 50-60 children from Hindu families to convert to Christianity. Children are being lured with toffees, biscuits and chocolates.

NHRC has considered this a violation of the fundamental rights of children. The commission has also sent information about this matter to the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police of Uttar Pradesh.

NHRC’s correspondence with the District Magistrate (DM) and Superintendent of Police (SP) seeking immediate action in this case.

Agni Samaj founder Sanjeev Never said that this is an organized attack on innocent children. He said that the innocence of children is being exploited. The organization has demanded strict action against the culprits. Agni Samaj is running a campaign against illegal conversion across the country. This case of Raebareli is an example of the unethical strategies of Christian missionary groups.

The case is related to Sandi Nagin under the Mill Area Police Station area of ​​Raebareli. After the video went viral on social media, many organizations took cognizance of the matter and demanded action. Due to which Raebareli Superintendent of Police Dr. Yashveer Singh has given instructions in the case of conversion and arrested the accused Vijay Singh along with a woman. The Mill Area Police Station reached the spot and closed the school completely.
