Moving videos show people of TN lining roads, showering petals, shouting “Veera Vanakkam, Bharat Mata ki Jai” to pay homage to mortal remains of Gen. Rawat

CDS Gen. Bipin Rawat died yesterday in a chopper crash, along with his wife and 11 other military personnel, in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. A shocked nation has been paying homage to the brave warrior, under whose leadership we undertook some of the boldest defense reforms and made a serious push for indigenization of weaponry.

As the mortal remains of Gen. Rawat and others who perished in the crash were being taken to Sulur Air Base., crowds of commoners lined the road to pay their last tributes. One such scene was witnessed in Mettupalayam where people showered flower petals while shouting “Veera Vanakkam (salute to the warriors), Veera Vankkam…Bharat Mata ki Jai”

Women could be seen crying as they saluted the passing ambulance.

Yesterday, the nation was shocked when a section of retired defense officers were seen surreptitiously cheering Gen. Rawat’s demise, born out of their sheer hatred for the government at the center and possibly due to their involvement in the arms dealer lobby which wants Bharat to stay dependent on foreign weapons systems.

One such specimen with close links to the Congress first family, Col. Ajai Shukla, tweeted an image of a cake last night and not a condolence message, well after news of Gen. Rawat’s death had been confirmed.

Assorted Islamists – including a doctor from Nellore, and a faculty at an IAS coaching centre in Delhi – and other malcontents like a Congress mouthpiece editor and an IIT-Delhi graduate were also seen cheering the General’s death on social media.

Is is true that as a nation we have allowed traitors of all ideologies to take root, and have shown lack of willpower in dealing with them without mercy. But the ordinary people of Tamil Nadu have shown today that the Dharmic umbilical cord, the love for Bharat Mata, which binds this nation together, is still strong.

Now, it is up to us to openly embrace our civilizational Dharmic identity and comprehensively defeat the anti-Bharat forces within.
