Interview with Sanjeev Newar, Founder of Agniveer

Agniveer started as a website to spread the real message of Hindu Dharma, and to bring about the social awakening and change which the present time requires. It has now grown into a vibrant grass-roots organization with teams in various parts of the country. Agniveer was founded by Sanjeev Newar, an alumnus of IIT & IIM.

The Agniveer website explains its name thus –

“As Agni, the first word of Rigveda – the first wisdom to humanity, is a synonym for the Supreme Entity that purifies, illuminates and is source of all energy. Veer is synonym of brave.

Agniveer is a collective movement of brave warriors dedicated towards worship of this purifying Agni alone through thoughts, words and actions in self and society.

Agniveer symbolizes the efforts of souls marching together towards the ultimate goal through destruction of ego and falsehood and focus only on right knowledge, right actions and right devotion.

In other words, we stand for compassion, character, tolerance and rational humanism. We believe in One World, One Humanity, One Family.

Nanyah Panthah Vidyateanayaya (Yajurved) – There is no other way except this!”

In this interview, noted TV journalist and documentary film-maker Mayank Jain spoke to Sanjeev on a wide variety of contemporary issues affecting Hindu society –

We will post a transcript of this interview soon.
