Hindu Youth helping to upskill New Zealand’s workforce during lockdown

Hindu Youth New Zealand (HYNZ) is delighted to announce an online CV writing workshop, helping to upskill New Zealand’s current and future workforce. “Step Up, Stand Out” was a skill development webinar series that Hindu Youth New Zealand launched in 2020 during a previous lockdown. Its purpose was to help prepare individuals to stand out amongst the crowd during the employment recruitment process.

“Sometimes individuals may not have clarity on what recruiters are looking for. At other times, though they may know what to write, they struggle with making their CV’s command attention” said Roshni Surti, Programs Coordinator, Hindu Youth New Zealand. “The aim of this webinar is to give an in-depth understanding about CV writing as well as give an opportunity to the participants to ask questions and interact with our industry expert.”

This interactive online CV writing webinar is free and open for all. It will focus on the key aspects of writing a CV – focussing on getting the basics right, knowing what to include and what to leave out as well as presenting the right content. Attendees will have an opportunity to gain insider tips and learn tricks that will help make their CV stand out.

The online CV writing webinar will be conducted by an industry expert in recruitment, Nitika Sharma. She has several years of recruitment experience working at a recruitment agency and doing in-house recruitment. Now a Director at KPMG, she also gets involved in graduate recruitment.

She has established and ran a successful permanent and temporary recruitment desk identifying local talent and bringing international talent to New Zealand – all that during the Global Financial Crisis. She will be giving insights and strategies for writing a CV that leaves an impression and will help you to put your best foot forward.

“With New Zealand once again in Alert Level 4, many have been using this opportunity to develop their talents in various fields. Hindu Youth New Zealand are providing online workshops and webinars to support people who are looking to upskill during this challenging period” said Murali Krishna Magesan, President, Hindu Youth New Zealand.

The online webinar will be held on Tuesday, 31st August 2021 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Use the link to join online: https://tinyurl.com/hynzcv2021
