Uddhav Thackeray insults Bharatiya army

During the ongoing assembly session, Uddhav Thackeray had insulted the Bharatiya army in his speech. This seems to be in keeping with the ‘secularization’ of Shiv Sena which has been attempting to prove its secular credentials to its newfound allies NCP And Congress.

Ever since Shiv Sena has joined hands with those asking for proof of surgical strike, they are speaking the same language as their so-called secular coalition partners. It was, therefore, not surprising that under Uddhav Thackeray’s leadership, they’ve started questioning the courage of our soldiers on Indo-China Border!

Speaking on the floor of the Maharashtra assembly, Thackeray said that the Indian Army shows its bravery against farmers, and runs away from the Chinese. Thackeray insinuated that the Army jawans acted in a cowardly manner in front of the Chinese. Such language from the head of a state for those who are bravely guarding our borders is both unacceptable and condemnable.

Such a statement coming from the party’s chief encourages party workers and legitimizes their anti-army acts. Readers may recall that in September last year, Sena goons had attacked a retired navy veteran for forwarding a WhatsApp message.

Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis condemned Thackeray’s statement and termed it an insult to the Bharatiya army. Nevertheless, a secular Shiv Sena led by Uddhav Thackeray has not only turned Hindumisic but also anti-Bharat.
