“TN Governor social media handle praises racist bigot poet Bharathidasan”, The Communemag, April 30, 2023:

“On the occasion of the birth anniversary of poet Bharathidasan, the official social media handle of Tamil Nadu Governor tweeted wishes praising him for his ‘progressive literary works’.

Bharathidasan, is a famous Tamil literary personality known for his fiery writings. Born as Kanaka Subburathinam in a Senkuntha Mudaliyar family, he was inspired by the revolutionary Indian nationalist poet and freedom fighter Subramania Bharathi and rechristened himself as “Bharathi Dasan”, meaning a ‘servant of Bharathi’. 

Despite being mentored by Subramania Bharathi, Subburathinam held immense animosity towards the Tamil Brahmin community. Many of his works peddle genocidal hatred towards Brahmins exposing the racist bigot and demagogue in him….”
