West Bengal has been burning since the assembly poll results were announced and it is getting worse by the day with 80,000 Bengali Hindus being displaced,, some of them pouring into neighbouring Assam, fearing violence from TMC jihadi goons for exercising their right to vote for the party they like. Even though it is BJP karyakartas and those who supported/ voted BJP that are assaulted and murdered the party hasn’t been forthcoming in addressing the issue meaningfully.
However Hindus from other parts of Bharat have come forward to both raise awareness about this pogrom and exodus, and help those who have been affected by it. Last week Indic Collective, an organisation that works for Hindu causes, filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking it’s intervention in the issue. However the SC registry repeatedly turned down Indic Collective’s multiple requests to hear the matter urgently and is yet to list the petition – even registering the petition took multiple follow ups. Now, with the Supreme Court off for its leisurely summer vacation from 10 May to 28 June, it remains to be seen whether this urgent matter is taken up by a vacation bench or not.
In such a situation it becomes important to amplify the issue and let the cries of Bengali Hindus be heard by everyone so that at least the remaining lives can be saved at the earliest. As a part of such an attempt, a worldwide demonstration is being organised over this weekend (9 & 10 May) against the Hindu Genocide in West Bengal. It is being organised in cities all over the world like London, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Melbourne, Munich, Limerick (Ireland) etc.
Those who wish to either participate or organise can register here and be a part of this attempt to put pressure on the government to act and create awareness about the upcoming threats among the unwoke Hindus. It is time that Hindus asserted themselves and brought forward the gruesome ideological and religious based violence unleashed upon them.
