BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma has become the target of Islamists who have been issuing death and rape threats as well as announcing bounties. Her fault? She countered the abuse of Hindu deities. Suffice here to say that her comments were twisted out of context by ‘fact-checker’ and POCSO accused Zubair Mohammed to insinuate that she insulted Mohammed.
As expected, Islamist AIMIM announced a 1 crore rupees bounty on Nupur’s head while BJP has maintained a silence publically and Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi came in her defense indirectly. However, ‘secular’ parties have come out in full force to back the Islamists. NCP (Nationalist Congress Party), part of the ruling MVA (Maha Vikas Aghadi), came out aggressively against Nupur at a rally in Mumbra. Housing, Minority, and Wakf Minister Jitendra Awhad was joined by NCP Mumbai Chief Anand Paranjape.
“Hundreds of people gathered on the streets blocking the passage of vehicles during the protest. At the protest, Shakir Shaikh, Maisar Khan, Sakib Date, Marjiya Pathan, Najim Buber, and others backed Shanu Pathan, who sought Sharma’s immediate arrest. The NCP workers also chanted slogans such as “Nupur Sharma Murdabad”. Several women also joined the protest against Nupur. The demonstrators who were obstructing the traffic were eventually detained by the police”, reported OpIndia.
Nothing better is expected of a party like NCP whose supremo often insults Hindu deities. “We are the father of your Gods and you bastards don’t allow us to enter the temples?” Sharad Pawar said recently conveniently using a poem as an excuse.
RJD’s Prashant Kanojia has been endorsing and supporting hate monger Zubair Mohammad whose fake edited clip triggered the barrage of death & rape threats to Nupur and her family. Parties like the RJD (Rashtriya Janta Dal) never miss an opportunity to denigrate Hindu Dharma and Hindus in the name of ‘secularism’.
These so-called seculars always rush to defend Islamists calling for the beheading of Hindus. Even when the same Islamists were mocking Bhagwan Shiva following the discovery of Shivling the seculars had sided with the Islamists. Essentially, the Islamists get a free pass from the ‘secularists’ who share the former’s hatred for Hindu Dharma.
The so-called secularism of these parties is merely a mask to hide their Hindudvesh (Hindumisia). If the spokesperson of the ruling party can be subjected to such harassment for simply defending Hindu deities by counter-questioning Islam, then ordinary Hindus hardly stand a chance.
The entire episode has exposed the likes of Zubair who project themselves as champions of free speech. It also shows how easy it is to brainwash the Muslim public using edited clips. As long as Islamists hold sway, we can expect death and rape threats such as the ones faced by Nupur in the name of secularism. It is, however, the duty of the government to protect Hindus and the responsibility of the Hindu society to stand up for its rights.
