Rahul Gandhi says elections in Bharat rigged like those held under Islamic dictators Saddam, Gaddafi

Rahul Gandhi’s virtual interactions with durbari intellectuals keep throwing up new gems. In his latest conversation with Professor Ashutosh Varshney of USA’s Brown University, the scion of the Congress first family said “Gaddafi and Saddam Hussein used to have elections and they used to win it. There was no institutional framework to protect the vote.”

“The situation in India is worse, we do not need a stamp regarding that,” Gandhi said when asked about the bizarre ‘Electoral Autocracy’ status given to Bharat by a US-govt funded think tank Freedom House recently.

Western think tanks and media have been conducting a smear campaign against Bharat for the last few months. A Sweden based think tank V-Dem has also claimed that democracy has declined in Bharat. Observers believe this campaign has picked up ever since Joe Biden was elected the US President, thus emboldening the Western left-liberal order to impose their hegemonic agenda on the rest of the world.

These reports have been debunked in depth: Freedom House, V-Dem.

All Bharatiya citizens should let this sink in – the leader of the chief Opposition party has totally undermined a Constitutional body like ECI (Election Commission of India) by saying that elections in Bharat are rigged like the sham elections that Islamic dictators used to conduct to give a veneer of legitimacy to their rule.

Mumaar Gaddafi was a Libyan military officer who led a coup and ruled Libya for 42 years from 1969-2011. He was killed by Western backed rebels in 2011. Saddam Hussein was a dictator who ruled Iraq from 1979 to 2003. He was killed after US invaded Iraq on the pretext of finding WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction). Both Iraq and Libya have sunk into civil war and become breeding grounds for Islamic radicals and terrorists, including groups like Islamic State, after these dictators were killed.

Rahul Gandhi has delegitimized the same election process that resulted in Congress or Opposition victories in states like Chattisgarh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Kerala, Andhra, Madhya Pradesh etc. after the Modi government came to power in 2014.

With such a malafide comparison, Gandhi has, in a way, elevated even the dubious democracy of Pakistan where the military wields power behind the scenes, over elections in Bharat. These mad ramblings should have invited a firestorm of condemnation from every intellectual and editor worth his or her salt, but instead it is being reported merely as a ‘fresh attack’ on the BJP government!

In the same conversation, Gandhi also compared the ideology of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) with that of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) in Egypt. This again is a laughable comparison deserving of a detail rebuttal of its own. The MB is a fundamentalist Islamic movement which is deemed dangerously fanatical even by many theocratic and authoritarian Arab states!

When asked the implications of China rising to ‘Global superpower status’, he again uttered his usual empty rhetoric, “The rise of Chinese is affecting our politics for some time now…Chinese have a military strategy and there is no counter-strategy to that.”

The interviewer Ashutosh Varshney is a long-standing member of the Congress-loving intellectual cabal – some claim he was behind the Brown University fellowship granted to Radia-fame journalist Barkha Dutt.

Finally, we leave our readers with this gem from this dangerous 50-year-old man-child, where he proudly states that Congress brings shunyata (state of nothingness) to the table, a must-have ingredient for the ‘Idea of India’ to succeed in his opinion:
