Political violence by CPM against BJP, RSS and Hindus peaks in Kerala after civic poll results

CPM is one of the most violent parties that hardly believes in the rule of law and harbors a deep hatred for Hindu Dharma. Its contempt was on full display barely 48 hours after CPM registered victory in the recently concluded Kerala Civic polls.

Reports indicate that CPM unleashed a spate of violence not just against its political rival but also against Hindu temples displaying its Aurangzebism. Available information shows that the office of RSS and the house of a BJP leader were vandalized in at least two places.

The Sangh has blamed the CPM for the violence which has also been captured in CCTV at one of the places. CCTV footage shows the vandalization of the house of a BJP leader in Kollam. Similarly, the RSS office in Alleppey was destroyed while a temple in Palakkad was attacked.

11 CPM workers have been arrested for the attack on a Hindu temple in Palakkad. Among those arrested are the committee members of CPM who have been charged with hurting religious sentiments and creating enmity. The CPM seems to have been irked with the fact that the Saffron Party BJP has increased its footprint in the state by not only retaining the Palakkad Municipality but also wresting the Pandalam Municipality from CPM.

Unable to digest its defeat and realizing that the BJP has made its presence felt and is emerging as a challenger, the CPM backed by the state machinery unleashed violence against the Sangh Parivar. BJP leader E Krishnadas in his statement to the media said that the CPM was allying with extremist organizations like the SDPI to attack BJP and RSS workers.

Krishnadas also said that the attitude of the CPM resembles that of a terrorist organization as it has been on a violence spree against Hindus and the Sangh Parivar. Kerala BJP State President K Surendran also condemned the violence and blamed CPM for the same.

The CPM has always harbored Hindudvesh which has now peaked since the party sees this as a rise of the saffron. The BJP wresting the Pandalam Municipality, where the famous Sabarimala Swami Ayyappa Mandir is located, from the CPM which took women activists to the temple violating traditions further fuelled the anger of the party.

The BJP emerging as the main opposition in Kerala by replacing the Congress which has often covertly or overtly supported the CPM has rattled the red party which has resorted to what it knows best – unleashing unprecedented violence on its political opponents.
