Policeman slaps common citizen to make way for MVA minister Jitendra Awhad’s convoy: Kolhapur

The arrogance and high-handedness of MVA (Maha Vikas Aghadi) ministers are now reflected in the manner in which the bureaucracy is conducting itself. In a recent instance, a policeman in Kolhapur was caught on camera slapping a common man to make way for MVA minister Jitendra Awhad’s convoy.

Awhad’s vehicle got caught in a traffic jam at a chowk when the MVA minister was touring Kolhapur. A policeman slapped a man to make way for the minister’s convoy. The video has now gone viral on social media. Social media users have condemned the highhandedness displayed.

Such arrogance has been displayed by several ministers of the present Maharashtra government as well. Earlier, three policemen had been arrested for abetting Awhad’s goondagiri. Thane resident Anant Karmuse was abducted on the night of April 5, 2020, by policemen who then took him to Awhad’s bungalow for supposedly putting up a post against the minister. Karmuse’s complaint states that on reaching the bungalow, he was badly beaten up by 15 to 20 goons in the presence of Awhad.

MVA ministers as well workers of all the three alliance parties have time and again displayed their fascist attitude. Attacking opposition and common citizens for simply expressing their opinions, which may not be in line with that of the government or the political parties of the alliance, has become the order of the day in Maharashtra.
