A Pentecostal Church in Pathanamthitta openly violated the Kerala High Court ban on sorcery and black magic practices. Church members assaulted media personnel who went to record the footage of the illegal worship. High-ranking police officers who had come to prevent such evil practices and forced conversion were stopped from doing their duty. These officers also turned a blind eye to the plight of the media personnel.
The Elohim Gospel Global Worship Center of the Pentecostal Church is operating at Santhosh Junction in Omallur Village Panchayat, Pathanamthitta. Pastor Binu Vazhamuttam, the leader of the cult church, claims that he can ‘eradicate’ evil spirits. Their main objective is to increase followers by insulting Hindu religious practices.
In a video released by Janam TV, Vazhamuttam alleged that a Hindu man took his wife to a temple to ‘suppress evil spirits’, but the man died! It also shows the pastor indulging in the usual blessing, shivering, and collapse of his followers in full public view. The quack pastor allegedly runs several such workshops all over Kerala, and most of his ‘special’ prayer programs are suspiciously conducted at night.
Following numerous complaints from the general public, the High Court intervened and ordered the closing of the worship hall operating from a commercial facility without authorization. Cult members turned against the law enforcement personnel who arrived to take legal action. The video shows the police remain mute spectators. Then, Binu Pastor’s supporters turned their anger against the journalists who had come to report and brutally attacked them.
Incidentally, this is the second time that police have arrived there. Earlier, criminal elements associated with the Church ripped away a high court notice by the Kerala police, and this time police went there to stick another one. No one was arrested even after the journalists were manhandled and their cameras snatched in full public view. While the video was being taken, the church members pushed them aside and beat them up. Video footage shows that the police intervened after the thrashing.
A Crime Online reporter who had to be hospitalized said the police witnessed the attack but did nothing to help the journalists. Kerala Police (known for their brutal tactics) remained silent, showing political intervention. Congress’ Hibi Eden, Member of Parliament (MP) from Ernakulam district and a known Hinduphobe, has participated in events organized by this cult church.
The incident came just a few days after similar evil prayers happened in Elathoor, barely 10 km from this Church, where Mohammad Shafi indulged in sorcery, human sacrifice, and cannibalism. Kerala police claimed that Shafi is not cooperating with investigations. Such lethargy from our security forces does not auger well for society as a whole.
The same police force thrashed thousands of innocent Hindu devotees during the Sabarimala protests a few years back, mentioning a Supreme Court order. Ayyappa Bhagwan’s abode is a few km east of this evil Church. Another prominent regional fraudster is KP Yohannan, the ‘evangelist’ who usurped hectares of local land, plans to sell it back to the Kerala government for the Aranmula airport, and allegedly launders the black money of the communist leaders.
Incidentally, this is the same Kerala police that has no issues entering temples wearing boots and brutally thrashing Hindu oracles and devotees who come to perform age-old rituals like Kozhikallu Moodal, an ancient tradition of animal sacrifice. The laws of the so-called Hindu land are undoubtedly not in favor of Hindus.
