A Muslim mob in Chattisgarh’s Kavardha has been caught on camera attacking Hindus and insulting the Hindu saffron flag. The mob, supposedly enjoying the protection of Kavardha’s Muslim MLA, went on a rampage against Hindus while the police remained mute spectators and state CM Bhupendra Baghel was away in UP doing politics.
Muslim mob uproots saffron flag
According to available information, a Muslim mob uprooted the Hindu holy saffron flag on Sunday in Kabirdham district’s Kavardha after which it went on a rampage against the Hindus with police being mute spectators in Congress-ruled Chhatisgarh.

Video evidence shows a member of the mob tearing down a saffron flag with the picture of Bhagwan Hanuman and proceeding to desecrate the same with a lone Hindu identified as Durgesh Dewangan defending and putting up resistance against the mob.
It can further be seen that the police is simply standing there as bystanders and later lathicharging Hindus. Section 144 has been imposed in the area. Police commissioner Mohit Garg stated that a large police force has been stationed in the area.
The Muslim mob uprooted the flag saying that the flag was causing ‘obstruction’. The police said “on Sunday, a peace meeting with residents of the area. In the meeting, residents were asked to remove religious flags in view of upcoming festive celebrations in order to maintain peace here. While the people agreed, some youth belonging to both communities reached there following which there were clashes between them”.
It has been reported the Muslim mob resorted to stone-pelting. In the meanwhile, the Collector stated that action would be initiated on the basis of the CCTV footage. It must be mentioned here that five years ago, the picture of Bharat Mata had been torn down here leading to tension in the area.
The incident took place in Maa Karma chowk who is said to have nurtured Bhagwan Krishna due to which the place has great significance for Hindus. In view of the violence, holiday has been declared in all the educational institutes and exams have been cancelled.
Mob enjoys police, political support
It is alleged that the mob enjoys the protection of local Muslim MLA Mohammad Akbar. As as already been seen the police have not just remained mute spectators throughout the incident but have even resorted to lathicharging Hindus not even sparing children.
On this occasion, the anti-Hindu face of the Congress came to the fore once again. While the Hindus of Chattisgarh were being victimized by Muslim mob violence overtly supported by the police and the ruling Congress, Chhatisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel was resorting to political drama in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh.

At a time when he should be looking into the law and order in his own state, Baghel was more concerned with Uttar Pradesh where has been fanning anti-Hindu sentiments in keeping with its vote bank political agenda.
Anti-Hindu media bias
It is well-known that the mainstream media (MSM) has always been anti-Hindu. This was proven yet again during the Kavardha incident.
Hindustan Times conveniently overlooked the fact that Muslim mob had uprooted saffron flag that has great significance for Hindus. At the same time, it also purposely failed to take as much as mention that the state CM was away in UP while his own state was burning.
As is their wont, MSM failed to mention that the violence was initiated by a Muslim mob and that it wasn’t just some random “religious flag” as being stated by them by the flag of Hindus.
When Hindus are victims and Muslims are perpetrators then the entire cabal of MSM, anti-Hindu parties such as Congress, and the secular state system makes every attempt to shield the perpetrators while further victimizing the victims, particularly when so-called secular parties are in power in the state as in this case.
