Molestation Jihad in Rampur

Jihad is understood by most Islamic scholars as a form of striving to spread Islam.  Since Islam is spread mostly by eradicating non-muslim culture, it is therefore automatically a striving against non-muslims, or Kafirs as they are called in Islam.

This striving can take many forms. The Hadiths describe Jihad on horse, with sword in hand, killing and being killed, fighting against Kafirs. That is the purest form of Jihad—what Hizbul Mujahideen does in Kashmir when fighting against the Bharateeya Army.  But not everyone can get on a horse and wield a sword (today, a AK-47).  So other forms of “striving against Kafirs” are adopted.

One such form is Love Jihad, where a Muslim man uses any manner of deceit to lure a Hindu/Christian girl into the fold of Islam by professing love to her.  The ulterior motive is to get another convert into Islam, and another girl out of Kafir-hood.

Molestation Jihad

I submit that the recent outrage in Rampur, where a group of 14 males molested 2 Hindu girls, is also a Jihad—a molestation Jihad.  The idea is the same—to intimidate and harm Kafirs.

The video of the molestation has gone viral, but here it is for those who may not have seen it yet.

Today, news comes in about the molesters.  The prime accused is one Shah Nawaz, who also filmed the molestation Jihad and put it online.  He has been arresterd.  Other accused are Farman, Jahan-e-Alam, Saddam and others, all residents of Kuva Kheda village of Rampur.

Political cover to molestation Jihad

Now for the inevitable political cover to this Jihad, this time coming from Azam Khan (who is the local legislator, and was former urban development minister!)

Azam Khan says that girls should be “kept indoors.”  While that is perfectly in line with Islamic thinking and scriptures,  it is contrary to  Bharateeya traditions where women were sages, warriors, poets, leaders, thinkers, etc.   Nor will we Bharateeyas allow Azam Khan’s “hidayats” to become the norm in society.  If Azam Khan wants to live in a society where that is the norm, I can think of one not too far away (starts with “P”, ends with “stan”) where he might even be welcome.  To think that someone with such a retrogressive view was a minister, and is a legislator, makes us shudder. Here is another case of someone with Pakistani values becoming a powerful leader in Bharat and misleading Bharateeya Muslims.

Finally, a speculation: it would not at all surprise me if this was an organized effort by the likes of Azam Khan.  Reason: he has immediately used it to tarnish the Yogi Adityanath government.  Here is his statement, which makes cynical political use of a horrible event.

“Molestation, misbehaving with the women, loot, dacoity, murder have become the order of the day. Before the Assembly polls, I had warned the voters of the consequences of voting for the BJP.

Clearly, the video being put online was calculated to create a furore.  And also, coming soon after the horrible crime on UP’s highways, it was timed to perfection.  With politicians like Khan, one never knows what hand lies behind these evil deeds.
