“Illegal immigrants from Myanmar involved in killings & abductions of Manipuri; MLA asks CM for immediate deportation”, Organiser, May 14, 2024:

“Illegal immigrants from Myanmar, a neighbouring country, are involved in murder, kidnapping, and other criminal activities. This serious issue has been raised by Manipur MLA Leishiyi Keishing.

In a letter to Chief Minister N Biren Singh MLA Keishing alleged that the intruders residing in various shelter houses were engaged in fighting with the locals and many local people were beaten up by the illegal immigrants, creating law and order issues on numerous occasions.

Leishiyo Keishing, a prominent legislative member of the Manipur Assembly, has recently addressed Chief Minister N Biren Singh, pressing for immediate measures to repatriate refugees back to their native villages in Myanmar……”
