Hilarious video shows SP’s Ballia candidate break down in tears and collapse during campaign rally after seeing BJP flag in paternal home

A video of SP candidate Narad Rai is going viral on social media as UP gears up for the 4th round of voting in the ongoing assembly election tomorrow. Rai, who is fighting from Ballia’s Sadar constituency, was jolted when during a campaign rally he saw the BJP flag flying proudly atop the terrace of his own paternal home.

“They (BJP) want to create a divide in my home….God forbid, one day their homes will also not be safe. This is my home (pointing), those who put the BJP flag on my home, who broke my heart, I pray to God..I don’t wish ill on anyone…but this is not right,” Rai said sobbing before collapsing on the campaign vehicle.

Apparently, Narad Rai’s elder brother Vashisht Rai had joined BJP a few days back. In 2018, Rai had made a crude jibe at PM Modi and CM Yogi to get their “DNA tested…to ask their mother and father about their jaati and gotra.”

In 2016, the chairperson of Ballia Municipality had lodged an FIR against Narad Rai’s son accusing him of threatening her with weapons to grab a tender. It was alleged that ex-cabinet minister Rai and his son terrorized government departments in the whole district and had grabbed several contracts. Rai had jumped ship to join BSP before the 2017 assembly elections, but later made his way back to SP.
