“DMK Supporters & Dravidian Stockists Abuse Cricketer Venkatesh Iyer For Playing Cricket With Veda Paathasala Kids”, The Commune Mag, June 6, 2023:

“Dravidian Stockists led by the DMK IT wing and Periyarist goons spew hatred on Venkatesh Iyer and the Brahmin community for playing cricket with Veda Paathasala kids.

In a heartwarming gesture, Indian cricketer and Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer recently engaged in a game of cricket with students from a Vedic school in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. However, what should have been a moment of unity and celebration has unfortunately been marred by a wave of bigotry from Dravidian Stockists.

On June 5th, Venkatesh Iyer, shared a video of him playing cricket with kids on his Instagram handle with a caption that read, “The love for the game is unbelievable. Had a great time with all the young Veda Pathshala students in Kanchipuram….”
