“Alleged Pakistan link of MP Gaurav Gogoi, Assam govt to handover investigation to NIA; SIT to wrap probe by Sept 10”, Organiser, August 2, 2025:

“The Assam government has decided to hand over the MP Gaurav Gogoi Pakistan-link investigation National Investigation Agency (NIA). The Assam police Special Investigation Team (SIT) is investigating the probe of MP Gaurav Gogoi and his British wife Elizabeth Colburn’s alleged link with a Pakistani NGO backed by its intelligence agency ISI.

Congress MP Gogoi’s wife has worked for an NGO for an NGO for several years which has clear links with persons very close to Pak army, ISI and government.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma in a press meet held in Dispur on 1st August said that the state government will not extend the term of the SIT formed in February this year to probe the allegations against Gogoi…….”
