UP Woman Converts for Nikah – ‘Husband’ Pimps Her Off In Kerala

A woman from a village in Moradabad UP has accused her husband, whom she married after converting to Islam, of pushing her into prostitution after forcefully taking her to Kerala, Hindi daily Amar Ujala has reported.

The woman fell in love with Firasat, a resident of the same village. He convinced her to elope, got her converted and then married her in a nikah ceremony. That’s when life turned into a nightmare for the woman.

She alleges that Firasat and his associates first raped her. Then he forcefully took her to Kerala, where he sold her off and she was raped by many more men. She somehow managed to escape from his clutches and returned to her home in UP.

She and her family approached the SSP office on Wednesday to lodge a complaint. Police have registered a case of abduction against Firasat and three others.
