Uttar Pradesh: Two Christian Missionaries Jailed For Trying to Convert People Using Wrong Means

Two men have been arrested and one woman has been absconding from UP’s Barnahal for trying to convert the religion of people by bribing them, reports Hindi daily Amar Ujala.

On 28th December, 2018, Friday night, a lady named Mula Devi kept a prayer meet at a house in the village. The two missionaries namely, Ashoka Maseeh and Rajiv Maseeh, who were praying there, uttered many objectionable things about Hindu Dharma. In order to lure people to convert their faith, they tempted them by bribing them with house, job and money.

A resident of the village, Pradeep Kumar also attended this prayer meet. After listening to all this, he protested and called the other villagers and informed the police. Soon the villagers gathered there, joined by members of some Hindu organisations.

On Pradeep Kumar’s complaint, Ashok and Rajiv Maseeh were handed over to the police, however, Mula Devi was successful in absconding from the place.
