The silencing of Hindu voices continues unabated in Congress ruled Karnataka. Two more RSS/BJP activists have been murdered in the last 5 days in similar fashion. The police in Congress ruled Karnataka is, as usual, dragging its feet.
RSS worker Magalli J Ravi was found dead with a deep head gash in Periyapatna in Mysuru district late on Friday. According to this report –
“Ravi’s body, along with his scooter was found by the roadside on Friday evening. Though police believe it is a case of road accident, Ravi’s family members and BJP workers are insisting that it is murder. Since the incident happened soon after a peace meeting between community members ahead of Tipu Jayanti, RSS and BJP workers are suspecting foul play.”
“Dongre was one such target. Home Minister G. Parameshwar has completely failed to discharge his duties,” he said, demanding a high-level probe into Donge’s murder.
Despite the multiple stab wounds suffered by Sunil Dongre, Huffington Post found it appropriate to say that he was “allegedly” murdered –
Does the HuffingtonPost team think that Dongre committed suicide by deciding to stab himself in the stomach and face? For such alleged news outlets, anything is possible…especially when the murder of a Hindu activist is involved.
Mysuru MP Pratap Simha condemns murders, questions police response
He pointed out that the doctor entrusted to do the autopsy had mentioned that Ravi had a deep gash on his head indicating an attack. Hence, he urged the police to book the case as murder and apprehend the culprits at the earliest.
Continuing, Simha said that over the last two years six BJP activists have been slain with the Government and Police dragging their feet in booking the culprits and have even failed to provide minimum security to him despite getting a clue that he was one of the targets of attackers. The MP sought suitable compensation for Ravi’s family and adequate security for BJP activists.
Congress Government’s decision to foist Tipu Jayanti celebrations stoking tensions?
Since last year, the Congress Government in Karnataka has been holding Tipu Jayanti celebration on Nov 10 – riding roughshod over the sentiments of native Kannadigas who view Tipu Sultan as a tyrant.
Last year too, the celebrations resulted in the murder of a VHP activist Kutappa in Kodagu (Coorg). This year has seen large-scale protests against the Tipu Jayanti, and the fact that Magalli J Ravi’s brutal death occured right after he attended a meeting related to diffusing tensions related to the Jayanti, hints that it could be the reason for these murders.
MP Pratap Simha, in his interaction with press in Mysuru, recalled that actor-producer Sanjay Khan landed in trouble after making the tele-serial ‘Sword of Tipu Sulthan’ and Liquor Baron Vijay Mallya too followed suit after buying Tipu’s sword in an auction. He predicted a similar fate for Chief Minister Siddharamaiah in the last leg of power who is going ahead with the Tipu Jayanti celebration.
While national media is busy obsessing over missing 39-year-old JNU student Naseeb Ahmed, Hindu activists in other parts of the country are dropping like flies.
