A young Islamist named Nafisa Attari working as a teacher at Neerja Modi School in Udaipur of Rajasthan was terminated after she celebrated Pakistan’s victory over Bharat in the World T20 cricket match. She updated her Whatsapp status and shared images of Pakistani players with the text, “Jeet gaye, we won”. Parents intimated the school about her antics and the school immediately initiated action.
Attari now faces legal action. Udaipur DSP Mahendra Parik said that they have registered an FIR under rules related to imputations, assertions prejudicial to national integration at Amba Mata Police Station.
The lady tried to come up with excuses to evade action and play the victim card. Netizens openly questioned what sort of ‘teachings’ she might have imparted to her students when she was openly supporting an enemy nation.
The school is run by Sojatia Charitable Trust and social media is abuzz with images of a termination letter. “Nafisa Atari, a teacher at Neerja Modi School, has been terminated from the school with immediate effect during the meeting of Sojatia Charitable Trust”, said the letter in Hindi. Though no reasons were provided for the dismissal it became pretty clear why.
Nafisa Attari tried her hand at damage control and uploaded a video on social media. She claimed that her original post was taken ‘out of context.’ She said that her family got divided into 2 teams while the game was on. One ‘team’ supported Bharat & the other Pakistan. Since she was supporting Pakistan she ended up posting the same on Whatsapp!
A parent who was on her contact list asked her whether she supports Pakistan and Attari answered yes. She said that she thought that it was a joke! It seems that the parent did not take her anti-nationalism as a joke. Nafisa now says that she is a ‘real patriot who will never support Pakistan’.
In the ‘apology’ video, she begged for forgiveness ‘if’ her words had hurt anyone. As per media reports, the school authorities confirmed the dismissal.
Her whitewashing attempts and apology are as dishonest as Waqar Younis’ ‘apology‘ after his comment about enjoying Pakistan cricketer Rizwan offering namaz on the field while surrounded by Hindus went viral. Such ‘apologies’ are driven by the desire to continue benefitting from economic opportunities provided by Hindus, nothing else. This is a form of taqiyya – an Islamic doctrine which advises Muslims to hide their true intent when the situation is not favorable.
Forgiving such people has proven costly in the past as the virus of Islamist separatism has spread deep in all parts of the country. No self-respecting Hindu should offer Nafisa Attari a job in education or any other field.
Surprisingly, given the soft nature of our secular state, the latest news is that she has been arrested and sent to jail. Now, its over to judiciary. One can hope against hope that she is handed a meaningful jail term to send a stern message to all such fifth columnists, and the matter is not brushed under the carpet.

You need to grow up man. When a nation as Pak is always planning sinister attacks on India and brave Army soldiers are getting martyred now n then, as a loyal citizen of the country, you can support only your nation not the one inflicting violence.

You have identified her as a Islamist too. Is there any law not to support Pakistan ? Are there Indians in Pakistan who did not dine after the match? Admiration for another nation is not a crime, it is a choice, vide you culpable. I support India in cricket, Spain in the rest and German when not playing Spain.
