The recently gang raped minor victim of Saharanpur, who has been waiting arrest of all the accused and proceedings to begin, has been threatened by Samajwadi Party MLA Nahid Hasan. Her entire family is threatened with dire consequences if she doesn’t do outside settlement with the accused.

As per this news report, Kairana MLA Nahid Hasan threatened to murder the victim & her family if they didn’t withdraw the case against the accused. The victim’s family has audio recording of the threats made and they have filed a complaint in Gangoh police station giving all the proofs and requested for police protection. Arshad, from victim’s family has filed this police complaint against Nahid Hasan.

The history of the case is as follows : the 14 year old victim had gone out of the house to fill water on 19th May, when a boy named Dildar tried to kidnap her. The girl made a lot of noise and people collected. The accused was handed over to police. After that, the girl told her family that Dildar, along with Irfan, Farman, Shahrukh & Sarvar were gang raping her since 2 months by issuing her death threats. She could not open up because she was scared of the threats. The accused are a gang supported by SP MLA nahid Hasan. The victim & her family had threatened to committ suicide if the accused were not arrrested till 25th June.

Then on 29th June, they received threats directly from Nahid Hasan, the audio recording of which they have submitted to the police.

In another case last year, another Muslim school going girl from UP had written to PM Narendra Modi about being stalked and surviving the attempt of abduction by a Muslim man named Abdullah Rana. Reports said that the accused was finally arrested after she wrote to PM.

What is to be noted in Saharanpur case is that, the mainstream media has not mentioned the religion of victim and family except for one Hindi news report from Zee. One wonders if this is deliberate since SP MLA is involved and all accused are Muslims too, since the attitude of mainstream media has been of general hostility towards Yogi government.

Ironically, when the bhartiya government has rejected the report from Thomas Reuters Foundation that announced that Bharat is the world’s most dangerous nation for women, as flawed, too subjective and with an intention to malign the nation, the celebrity & politically aware feminists continue to suppress the outrage against ground elements that threaten the safety of women, simply to continue with anti-Hindu propaganda. 

These feminists should actually call out the politically powerful anti- women cases in loud voice. But since the agenda of secularism can’t seem to be compromised, they are willing to sacrifice the real safety an justice to children, girls and women for political propaganda.
