Riot-Displaced Family’s Minor Daughter Gang-Raped by 4 Muslim Youth in Kairana

The minor daughter of a riot-affected family was abducted on gunpoint and gang-raped in a Kairana village by 4 youth – Arif, Firoz, Saddam and Raees, Navbharat Times has reported.

The girl’s father said that he got displaced after the 2013 riots and is currently staying with his in-laws in village Gogwan, Kairana, district Shamli, and working as a brick kiln laborer. On Thursday night, the girl was returning to her home when the 4 accused pulled her inside a Maruti van – villagers passing by protested but the accused fired from their weapons and got away. They took the girl to a field where they physically assaulted and gang-raped her.

The girl is in a critical state and has been referred to Muzaffarnagar. Kairana CO Rajesh Kumar Tiwari said that an FIR has been lodged against the 4 accused and the investigation is ongoing.
