Close on the heels of the news of Kerala Hindus facing economic boycott & intimidation for supporting CAA, comes an even more shocking news from neighbouring Tamil Nadu (TN).
Dinesh runs a shop in Ritchie Street located in Radio Market, Mount Road, Chennai. Following the passage of CAA the shop owner expressed his support for the Act by distributing pens with the words ‘we support CAA & NRC’. Miffed by this, more than 80 Muslims attacked his shop and threatened to kill him as well.
Fearing for their lives a scared Dinesh and his employees locked themselves up inside the shop. On being informed about the plight of the shop owner and his employees, Hindu Munnani reached the spot to rescue them. After assuring Dinesh and his employees of their full support, Hindu Munnani reached Chintadripet F2 Police Station to register a complaint and requested immediate action be taken against those involved in the vandalism and issue of death threats.

It is now absolutely clear that these protests aren’t to ‘save the constitution’ as is being claimed by seculars but to simply assert Islamic supremacy. If this is the plight of the Hindus when they are in majority and a 14.2% Muslim population is supposedly ‘minority’, then it is not difficult to understand the kind of atrocities Hindus and other minorities would be facing in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. The minority status is not just being overused but being abused as well to bulldoze the views of others who differ from their own.
There are a couple of other things that are emerging from these protests that can no longer be overlooked. There is a sinister plan to burn Bharat in the name of ‘saving constitution’. The opposition is echoing Pakistan which is a cause for concern. Imaginary ghosts are being created to oppose an Act that will simply help a few thousand Hindus and other minorities from neighbouring Islamic nations languishing in refugee camps.
Hinduphobia is at its peak in these protests and radical Islamists need to be reined in along with the anti-Hindu opposition which is spreading all kinds of lies simply to burn Bharat. Freedom of speech is neither a one-way street nor the sole preserve of so called secularists. Hindus are tolerant but let that tolerance not be taken to be a sign of weakness.
