Police Recovers Hindu Girl Abducted by Uttarakhand Congress Leader Mehak Khan’s Son

The B-tech student who was abducted by Uttarakhand Congress Leader Mehak Khan’s son Danish has been recovered from Delhi by Uttarakhand police.

The girl had been missing since 18 April after she left home to go to her college in Bhimtal. Her parents lodged a complaint against Danish Khan and his mother Mehak, secretary of Uttarakhand Congress women’s wing, for abducting their daughter. The girl resides in Sheesh Mahal area of Haldwani while the accused reside in Karkhana bazar – Mehak Khan & her husband Naeem run a beauty parlour, ‘Juliette beauty parlour’ there.

Police visited the girl’s college to investigate the case, where a friend of the girl told them that she had seen Mehak and Danish intimidating the girl and taking her away in a car. Police found that Mehak got down at Haldwani and told her son to proceed to Delhi with the girl. Police suspect that Mehak Khan herself was planning to run off to Delhi, but she was arrested and charged with conspiracy for kidnapping. She was produced in court and sent to jail on Friday.

Police finally managed to recover the abducted girl and Danish Khan from his maternal aunt Shauzia’s house in Delhi. The girl has now been handed off to her parents after a medical examination and her statement will be taken in 1-2 days after her condition stabilizes. Danish Khan has been sent to jail.

Danish Khan has been charged with abduction and forced conversion of the girl.
