In Shalimar Garden police station area of Ghaziabad, Islamists neighbours dragged a Hindu family out of their house and beat them up. The video of the fight is viral on social media. The fight took place when the Islamist mob objected to talking of a neighboring Muslim woman with the husband of the Hindu family. Police have registered a case in the matter and arrested four accused including a woman.

The incident started from a dispute involving Nargis, the Muslim neighbor, who frequently spoke to the victim’s husband, a Hindu man, despite objections. On March 20, when confronted, Nargis and her relatives, including her husband Israel, brother-in-law Sultan, sister Shabana, and others, assaulted the Hindu family.

ACP Shalimar Garden Saloni Agarwal said that the video of the fight went viral on social media. Upon investigation, it was found that a woman living in Shalimar Garden police station area used to talk to the husband of a woman living in the neighbourhood. Even after being forbidden several times, she was not agreeing to talk.

There was an altercation between the two parties over this issue. The accused woman, along with her husband and two other women from Loni, beat her up. The ACP said that a case has been registered on the complaint of the woman and four people including the neighboring couple have been arrested. The arrested accused are being questioned. Police arrested Israel, Nargis, Shabana, and Seema on March 21.
