Meerut: Hindu temple attacked, workers beaten up for installing loudspeaker for bhajans

Recently, a few news outlets, including Hindu Post, have been working tirelessly to bring to readers the ground conditions of various areas in Meerut, which is witnessing a flight of Hindus over the past 3 years. It is estimated that at least 125 families, and up to 1 Lakh Hindus, have already fled Meerut.

Now, because a few honest channels have sent correspondents to Meerut, we are also coming to know of other incidents which otherwise would never have been known. All of these are, of course, of the “Muslims beat up Hindu” type. Otherwise, it would have been national news, and candles would have been in high demand throughout the country. No such luck for candle sellers in this case though.

One such incident came to light yesterday. A small Hindu temple had “dared to” install a loudspeaker to play bhajans. After all, even the smallest mosque has loudspeakers to remind the momin and kafir of the namaaz times. And it is considered very un-secular to complain about these (as Sonu Nigam once found out).

But Hindus are not the “most favoured community” in Bharat. So, what happens when a mandir installs a loudspeaker to play bhajans? A peaceful community gets upset, collects a mob, attacks the mandir, and beats up the workers there.

And yes, not even a single candle was sold on account of this incident.
