Man Sets Ablaze Hindu Woman, Her Daughter & Grand-Daughter, All 3 Dead – Nashik, Maharashtra

A 55-year-old man, Jalaluddin Khan, burnt alive his live-in partner Sangita Devre (40), her daughter Pritee Shendge (19), and nine-month-old grand-daughter Siddhi at the woman’s residence in Kalika Nagar area of Nashik in the early hours of Monday. While the baby died on the spot, her grand-mother Sangita died on Tuesday in Nashik Civil Hospital, and mother Pritee succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday night.

As per this Times of India report

“Assistant inspector Valmik Shardul of the Panchavati police station said Sangita was a widow and Jalaluddin had been living with her for the past one year. While Sangita worked as a help in a local hotel, Jalaluddin had left his job in an ice-cream shop three months ago. He originally hails from Uttar Pradesh.

On Sunday, Sangita’s daughter Pritee, who stays in the  Nagar area of Adgaon, had come to her mother’s place with Siddhi to stay for a few days. “A heated argument broke out between Sangita and Jalaluddin on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. Sangita was insisting that Jalaluddin stay somewhere else till her daughter was with her,” police officials said.
